Yun Chol Ryong, a Merited Electrician

Yun Chol Ryong, a worker of a repair shop, the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex, has served in his occupation for decades, whether he was recognized or not.

When he started his job, he strove to improve his technical skills, though he was unaccustomed to the work.

He studied the books on technology and reference books till late at night, and his efforts came to fruition a few years later.

He, by mastering the technical skills, could remove any failure cause in a short time.

In addition, he invented dozens of new technical innovation schemes and was highly praised for his work conducive to shortening the time of equipment assembling and repair days.

In particular, when he took part in the extensive repair work which was expected for several days, he contributed to repairing a piece of equipment in only ten-odd hours.

He also passed his experiences and know-how on to newcomers, so trained more than 20 workers into skilled ones.

Highly praising him, the motherland awarded the title of the merited electrician in March 2012.

Kim Yong Nam, a Merited Collier

Kim Yong Nam, commander of the Coal Mining Company No. 2 of the Pongchon Pit in the Pongchon Coal Mine, is a faithful collier devoting his all to coal production for tens of years.

His father, who was a veteran collier, always asked him to become a good collier.

To live up to his expectations, Kim Yong Nam worked by the sweat of his brow and soon distinguished himself as an innovative collier.

In this course, he was decorated with the first merit medal early in his life.

When he became in charge of the company, he made endeavors with the unchanged preparedness and attitude to work.

Once when a 24-7 campaign for completing the production plan for the first half of the year was going on, he led the members to performing miracles and secured necessary spare parts of equipment, thus contributing to the overfulfillment of the production plan.

He was awarded commendations of Chairman Kim Jong Il in 2009 for having devoted all his wisdom and passion to the work of the coal mine, and not long after that, took part in an important meeting.

He grew stronger in the enthusiasm to repay the great love of the Party and brought up lots of colliers into pillars of the coal mine.

In December 2016, he won the honor of the Merited Collier.

Im Pyong Nam, a Merited Tractor Driver

Officials and farmers at the Chaeryong Farm in Sukchon County say that the buzzing sound of mechanization is unthinkable without the efforts of Im Pyong Nam working as the head of the mechanized workteam.

Im is a merited tractor driver who has upheld the agricultural policy of the Party in the van for dozens of years as a rural mechanization worker.

At first when he was in charge of a tractor, he dismantled and assembled a lot of accessories one by one to master its structure, steadily raising his technical and skill levels. Later, he walked dozens of miles without hesitation for normal operation of the tractor and devoted his enthusiasm to it.

In those days, he greatly contributed to saving a lot of fuel and raising the operation rate by makingvaluable inventions.

He had the greatest honor to have a photo taken with the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un at the 4th National Meeting of Activists in Agricultural Field.

For having trained many drivers in the period of working as the head of the mechanized workteam, his workteam used to take the lead in the starting ceremony of tractors held in the county every year.

In December, 2018, he, who was grown up to be a socialist patriotic merited worker with his wife that had been a tractor driver for many years, was awarded the title of Merited Tractor Driver. He is still devoting his sweats to increasing the proportion of mechanization in farm work true to the intention of the Party.
