Symposiums on the exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il took place in Cambodia, Denmark, Austria, the Czech Republic and Serbia between February 4 and 9 to mark his 83rd birth anniversary.

Political and public figures and masses of relevant countries attended the events, where speeches were made.

The vice-chairman of the FUNCINPEC Party of Cambodia said that the Cambodian people ardently praise the great exploits and noble personality of His Excellency Kim Jong Il even today.

The Korean people, who are single-heartedly united around His Excellency Kim Jong Un, firmly defend the country from the aggression of the US imperialists and make miraculous achievements, he said, adding that the FUNCINPEC Party will, as in the past, give a positive support to all lines and policies of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The chief of the Juche idea study group in Denmark and the chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association described Chairman Kim Jong Il as an extraordinary thinker and theoretician, staunch defender of socialism and peerless statesman and referred in detail to his ideological, theoretical and leadership exploits.

Under the wise leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the cause of General Kim Jong Il, the DPRK is exalting its honour as an invincible power recognized by the world, he noted.

The chief and members of the Vienna Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism of Austria praised Chairman Kim Jong Il as a wise statesman who illuminated the road ahead of the era of independence and recorded in the proud history of socialist Korea only victory and miracles with his great revolutionary practice. The first vice-chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea said that the reality of the DPRK fully demonstrating the might of a powerful country is unthinkable apart from the devoted leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Il and that the achievements of the great man will be deeply kept in the mind of humankind.

Personages of the New Yugoslav Communist Party and the National Committee of Serbia for the Study of Juche Idea said that Chairman Kim Jong Il was an outstanding leader in the era of independence who made immortal contributions to the socialist cause, the cause of global independence, with his profound thoughts and theories and energetic leadership, that the Juche idea which he comprehensively systematized is a great philosophy, idea and world outlook and that the thoughts and theories of the great man serve as a compass for progressive mankind aspiring after independence and justice.

Asserting that it is no exaggeration to say that the history of socialist Korea is a continuation of miracles, they said that the recent rapid development of national defence capabilities and the brilliant successes which have been made in economic construction and the improvement of the people’s living standards are evoking the admiration of the world people.
