A seminar on the immortal leadership exploits of the great men for Unjong tea and the tea culture of Korean style was held at the Sci-Tech Complex in Pyongyang on the 21st.
Present there were Thae Hyong Chol, President of the Academy of Social Sciences, and officials, teachers and researchers in the fields of science, education, national heritage conservation and Unjong tea production and service.
The speakers said the aroma of Unjong tea pervades the whole country thanks to the noble love of the great men for the people.
The great leader Kim Il Sung sent young tea plants, selected right place for their cultivation and took all measures to grow them in conformity with the climatic and soil conditions of our country.
The great leader Kim Jong Il brought about a marvellous success of tea plant cultivation in our country, named the tea "Unjong" (benevolent affection) and taught in detail how to raise its taste and quality to the world level.
Under the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the modern Unjong Tea Drink Factory was built and a firmer foundation laid to produce tea of high quality on the basis of advanced tea production technology and structure.
The speakers explained the tea culture and custom of Korea with a long history and tradition, the pharmacological action of tea and the superiority of Unjong tea, and emphasized that the tea culture of Korean style is further developing under the warm care of the Workers' Party of Korea.
