Doing Something of One’s Own Accord Is Not Hard

Ho Chun Nam works at the Chongjin City Passenger Transport Station.

He devotes his sincere efforts to the repair and maintenance of trolley buses and the remodeling of passenger transportation means.

It was one night before the lunar New Year’s Day when lots of drivers were on their way home.

However, Ho got on a trolley bus with maintenance tools to take care of the imperfection he had found out earlier in the morning.

Then, an official of the station approached him, engrossed in the job.

He asked Ho if it was not hard for him to handle every difficult job by himself.

Ho replied to him that it was not hard at all as he did it of his own accord.

Thanks to Ho and other faithful workers who devote clear conscience to their work with boundless sense of responsibility every day, the trolley buses of the city always run at full capacity.

Two Workteams of Women Volunteers

Members of the workteams of the Suan County Road Administration Office are laudable women keeping their worksite, enjoying love and respect of the people.

They, mere housewives, undertook the management of roads.

A few years ago, Ri Hye Sun, a housewife, volunteered to work at the road administration office, saying she felt ashamed of herself for only taking care of her family when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un devotes his all to providing a happier life for the people.

She continued that she would fulfill her duty as a demobilized soldier and a Party member.

20-odd women followed her suit to form a new workteam.

However, the number of female volunteers surpassed a few dozens with the passage of time and they had to organize another workteam.

An official of the county introduced them to us saying that they cherish beautiful aspiration to find happiness in sprucing up their streets and villages although their hands are full as they are housewives and mothers.

As Befits Master of Face-lifted Hometown

"Nowadays I am elated and never feel tired however hard I may work."

Such words can be heard from every farmer of the Tokhung Farm in Kangso District, Nampho Municipality.

Officials of the farm, too, frequently tell that farming will be done well because the farmers’ work attitudes have changed.

It was natural that they did so as they had greeted the New Year by becoming the masters of the new houses built under the benevolence of the Party.

Shortly ago, Jong Kum Hui, head of workteam No. 9, came to see a farmer coming out to the fields with a large amount of manure.

She was a woman who had received a treatment for sick body last year.

Jong advised her to take a rest at home, not worrying about farming, but she said:

I received a new imposing house without contribution of a packet of sand and a spadeful of cement. I can never think of myself. From now on, I want to act as a real master of the face-lifted hometown.

Pensioners, too, visited the workteam to request to undertake fields from this year, and they have made contributions to farming with the materials for rice-seedling beds they provided by themselves.

The appearance of the farmers changing day by day is, indeed, a manifestation of their high consciousness and will to become true masters of the hometown turning their hometown face-lifted under the care of the Party into a more beautiful and better paradise to live in.
