Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Officials and primary officials of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea from across the country made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu from February 25 to March 3.

The expedition members toured the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site, the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site, Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs, the Taehongdan Revolutionary Battle Site, etc., recalling the noble intention of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who made an earthshaking horseback march at the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

At the historic birthplace of Chairman Kim Jong Il in the Paektusan Secret Camp, they recollected the sacred revolutionary career and exploits of the Chairman who was born as the son of guerrillas and made a ceaseless journey of devotion for the country and the people.

They went round the site of campfire, the site of cooking rice, slogan-bearing trees and other places while grasping the noble revolutionary spirit and fighting traits of the forerunners who fought the bloody battles against the Japanese imperialists, holding President Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the center of unity and leadership.

Looking up in their mind to the sublime image of General Secretary Kim Jong Un , who hardened his revolutionary faith, recollecting the bloody history of the guerrillas' activities in the vast area of Mt Paektu, the expedition members climbed Mt Paektu, the holy mountain of the revolution.

At the plaza before the statue of Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City, those officials of the UAWK met to vow to steadfastly carry on the march to Mt Paektu under the guidance of Kim Jong Un .

Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, officials concerned, officials of the UAWK and members of the expedition.

They expressed their determination to absolutely trust and follow the General Secretary like the anti-Japanese forerunners who devotedly defended the headquarters of the revolution and to display in every way the might of the UAWK organizations by intensifying the socialist patriotic movement, the revolutionary mass movement on each socialist farm field.

During the study tour, they had such political and cultural events as a meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas, a question-and-answer study contest, and a contest of singing revolutionary songs in chorus while marching in array. And they visited the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory, the Samjiyon Blueberry Drink Factory, etc. -0-
