Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Department Store No. 1 and other commercial service establishments in the capital city of the DPRK are crowded with visitors wanting to purchase footwear with trademark Maebongsan.
Maebongsan-trademarked shoes, produced at the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory, are designed to be light and comfortable for people with different foot shapes. Those shoes are popular among all citizens without reference to sex and age as they are diverse and rich in colors and variety.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the factory several times and saw to it that the trademark of shoes produced by the factory was named "Maebongsan". He stressed the need for the factory to steadily strive to improve the quality of products as its main task and thus make its products well-known to the country.
True to his noble intention, the officials and workers of the factory have made successes in the work to produce more and nicer Maebongsan shoes, popular among the people.
The Maebongsan shoes won a high appreciation at the National Footwear Exhibition-2018, the Spring National Footwear Exhibition-2019, the Autumn National Footwear Exhibition-2019 and other exhibitions. They also took the top prize in the light industrial goods exhibition "Light Industry Developemnt-2023" and the first place in the Spring National Footwear Exhibition-2024.
Officials and workers of the factory are now devoting their wisdom and zeal to ensuring the practicality, convenience and aesthetic value of shoes on a higher level and making them more diverse in shapes and colors and lighter in weight. -0-
