Sportspersons, whofully demonstrated the dignity and might of Juche Korea in international anddomestic games and contributed to the development of the country's sportstechniques last year, have been selected as the top 10 players and coaches ofthe DPRK for 2024.
Top 10 players are ChoeIl Son, a footballer of the April 25 Sports Team, Jon Il Chong, a footballer ofthe Amnokgang Sports Club, Kang Hyon Gyong, a weightlifter of the AmnokgangSports Club, Kim Il Gyong, a weightlifter of the April 25 Combat Sports Team,Ri Song Gum, a weightlifter of the April 25 Combat Sports Team, Jo Jin Mi, adiver of the Sobaeksu Sports Team, Kim Mi Rae, a diver of the Pyongyang SportsClub, Kim Kum Yong, a table-tennis player of the Hwaeppul Sports Club, Ri JongSik, a table-tennis player of the Amnokgang Sports Club, and Wang Myong Guk, aTaekwon-Do player of the Ryongaksan Taekwon-Do Team.
Top 10 coaches includeRi Song Ho, a coach of the Wolmido Football Team, Song Sung Gwon, chief coachof the Naegohyang Women's Football Team, Ri Song Hui, a weightlifting coach ofthe Amnokgang Sports Club, So Un Hak, a weightlifting coach of the April 25Combat Sports Team, Kye Song Il, a weightlifting coach of the April 25 CombatSports Team, Sin Jong Rim, a diving coach of the Sobaeksu Sports Team, Kim YunMi, a table-tennis coach of the Hwaeppul Sports Club, Kang Hyong Rak, atable-tennis coach of the Amnokgang Sports Club, Ri Chol Rim, a Taekwon-Docoach of the Ryongaksan Taekwon-Do Team, and Kim Mun Il, chief Greco-Roman wrestling coach of theApril 25 Combat Sports Team.
A meeting took place at the Weightlifting Gymnasium onChongchun Street in Pyongyang on February 11 to announce the top 10 players andcoaches of the DPRK for 2024.
The 10 best players and10 best coaches of the DPRK for 2024 were announced at the meeting.
Thevice-premier of the Cabinet awarded to the sportspersons selected as top 10players and coaches the certificates and sportswear emblazoned with the lettersreading "DPRK's Top 10 Player for 2024" and "DPRK's Top 10 Coachfor 2024".
At the end of themeeting, a performance was given to congratulate the best players and coaches.
