Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- Near the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, there is Ryomyong Street, which was splendidly built to herald the dawn of victory of socialism.
Ryomyong Street is associated with the undying devoted efforts of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un , who dedicated himself to building the street into a world-level one for the people's happiness and into a fairyland in the era of the Workers' Party.
The General Secretary proposed the construction of this street and named it Ryomyong Street. And he guided all its construction process, being active as a designer, operator and builder.
He ratified more than a thousand and hundreds of layouts for the construction of Ryomyong Street.
The builders of the street created a new legendary tale of construction speed by waging a fierce 24-7 struggle since the start of the construction project.
One day in March 2017, the General Secretary inspected the street under construction, saying that its quarters of super-high-rise and multi-storied apartment houses were built in a peculiar style with their own features and that Ryomyong Street, built in a perfect harmony of super-high-rise and multi-storied architectural groups, is a model and icon for modern architectural streets.
That day he said that he could imagine the laughing faces of people moving into Ryomyong Street, and stressed that any difficult work should be done unconditionally to satisfy the people's desire and respect their interests. Adding that both speed and quality should be ensured lest any slight defect be revealed in the final project, he set forth important tasks for completing the construction of Ryomyong Street.
The street was inaugurated on April 13, 2017 on the occasion of the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung . -0-
