Ko Ryong Thaek, teacher of Osang Senior Middle School in Yonggwang County, South Hamgyong Province, has the abilities to teach well four subjects including mathematics, computing and his major physics.
It was 23 years ago that he started his teaching career after graduating from the Physics Faculty of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education. His high skills and enthusiasm enabled him to possess the abilities to teach the subjects. And he set an example in putting the teaching contents of physics on a practical, comprehensive and modern footing and generalized it to relevant educational units across the country.
Over the past 20-odd years, he has created and introduced dozens of new teaching methods, including heuristic teaching methods that help develop students’ intelligence quickly while teaching the subjects in plain language, in an interesting way and theoretically, and developed various useful programs conducive to education.
He produced several winners of the national senior middle school students’ physics contests and trained many talents in natural science. He was thus honoured to take part in the 14th National Conference of Teachers and have a photo taken with the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
