Roberto Gabriele, general secretary of the Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy, released a statement titled “President Kim Il Sung, great leader of world revolution” on April 1 to mark the 113th birthday of President Kim Il Sung, which said:
On the occasion of the auspicious April holiday, the world progressives reverentially look back upon the whole life of President Kim Il Sung, the outstanding leader of the Korean people and a great revolutionary.
He embarked on the road of revolution in his early teens with a firm resolve not to return home before Korea had become independent.
On the basis of the precious philosophical principle that the country should be taken back by force of arms, he founded the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army and led the hard-fought anti-Japanese war to victory, thus achieving the independence of the country.
During the Korean war ignited by the US imperialists in the 1950s, he defeated the imperialist forces and defended national sovereignty with his uncommon military wisdom and outstanding art of command.
Indeed, President Kim Il Sung is the great leader and the father of the people who devoted his all to the freedom and independence of Korea and the happiness of the people.
Regarding it as his motto to believe in the people as in Heaven throughout his lifetime, he shared his destiny with them and developed Korea into a socialist country whose master is the people and which is independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.
The world progressives highly praise him as the eternal President of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
Today, the Korean people are making great successes in their efforts to build a powerful socialist country, firmly rallying behind Comrade Kim Jong Un who successfully carries forward the cause of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.
The Movement for Peace and Socialism of Italy will give wide publicity to the exploits of the peerlessly great men in diverse forms and ways and offer active support and encouragement to the struggle of the Korean people to dynamically step up socialist construction under the wise leadership of Comrade Kim Jong Un.
