The General Association of Koreans in China held events to celebrate the 113th birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Il Sung.
The General Association and its affiliated organizations, China-resident Koreans' organizations and Korean compatriots laid floral baskets before his bronze statue at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and paid homage to him on the 15th.
A meeting of the General Association of Koreans in China for celebrating the 113th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung was held at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin.
Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok, vice-chairman and other officials of the General Association, representatives of its affiliated organizations, leading officials of China-resident Koreans' organizations, Korean compatriots, officials of the consulate general of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Shenyang and DPRK citizens working in three provinces in northeast China.
Also on hand were the Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin Provincial People's Government of China, the Deputy Mayor and the Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin City People's Government and the Party Secretary of the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin.
A report was made by Choe Un Bok, Chairwoman of the General Association of Koreans in China.
Then a performance and a reception were given.
A meeting for adopting a congratulatory letter to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was held in the conference hall of the General Association in the city of Shenyang on the 13th.
Meanwhile, colourful events took place at the affiliated organizations of the General Association of Koreans in China including the Zhongnan Regional Association.
