Koreans in Japan significantly celebrated the greatest auspicious April holiday of the nation.
Officials of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) met at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo on April 14 to lay a flower basket before the portrait of President Kim Il Sung.
Officials of the central leadership bodies of Chongryon, too, laid bouquets at the portrait of the President and paid tribute to him on the same day.
A meeting of Koreans in Japan took place at the Central Hall of Chongryon on April 13 in celebration of the 113th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organizational Department Pak Ku Ho, Vice-Chairmen Nam Sung U and Jo Il Yon, Vice-Chairman and concurrently Director General of the General Affairs Department Pae Jin Gu, Vice-Chairman and Director of the Education Department Song Kun Hak and Vice-Chairman and Director of the International Affairs Department So Chung On of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, Ri Myong Yu, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, department directors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, school inspectors, advisers, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan and chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters in the Kanto area.

A congratulatory letter to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
A lecture was given at the Central Hall of Chongryon on April 11 in celebration of the 113th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.
A video titled "A Great Man of the People" was shown at the lecture in celebration of April 15.
