Pyongyang is significantly commemorating the V-Day of Russia.
Choe Son Hui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made public a press release as follows:
Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the embassy of the Russian Federation in the DPRK on the morning of May 9 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of victory in the great patriotic war of Russia to convey his best wishes to the state leadership of the Russian Federation and the Russian people on behalf of the entire Korean people.
In order to warmly congratulate the fraternal Russian people on their great V-Day with his good sincerity he visited the Russian embassy in Pyongyang together with his most beloved daughter and senior Party and state officials.
He met with the Russian friends in Pyongyang with pleasure and conveyed a beautiful flower basket to the entire Russian people commemorating the V-Day.
He made a congratulatory speech.
In the speech he mentioned the unprecedentedly important influence exerted on the destiny and future of mankind by the V-Day when the great Soviet army and people defeated fascism as well as its eternal significance and expressed a firm stand of the DPRK Party, government and people to constantly consolidate and develop the long-standing traditions and noble ideological basis of the DPRK-Russia relations and the relations of their unbreakable alliance.
The above-mentioned activities conducted by the supreme leadership of the DPRK are a clear demonstration of the strong will to actively promote the sovereignty and dignity of the two countries, the peace and happiness of the people and the regional peace and security with the might of DPRK-Russia friendship which has developed into the relations of genuine comrades-in-arms and the strategic relations of eternal value in the new era.
I regard it as an important event to be specially recorded in the history of development of relations between the two countries and two peoples.
Pyongyang and Moscow will be together all the time.
