On February 16 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the fourth-stage project to build another 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area of the capital city of Pyongyang.
As he addressed the ceremony, he said that the belief in our own strength and self-confidence—this is the most important of all, a spiritual asset that is more precious than any material wealth.
It is his unwavering belief that one can achieve the best success in any adverse conditions if one exerts oneself believing in one’s own strength.
In August 2016 he inspected an acrylic paint production line newly established at an enterprise. During the tour he said that even a thousand miles seem only a hailing distance when one relies on one’s own strength and even a hailing distance seems a thousand miles when one relies on others’ strength and that this constitutes an element of absolute faith to be cherished by the Korean revolutionaries who are steadfastly following the untrodden road of revolution.
When he visited the rehabilitation site of a flood-stricken area in North Phyongan Province in November last year, he said to the similar effect that through the ongoing massive struggle to remove the damage we came to believe in our own strength once again and that he regards this as a more important spiritual asset than any other outcome.
Today the Korean people are making vigorous efforts for the comprehensive development of socialism under the leadership of Kim Jong Un with the conviction that the belief in their own strength and self-confidence are the most valuable spiritual asset that produces victories and miracles.
