True to the Workers’ Party of Korea’s idea of attaching importance to education, many units have actively turned out to support education.
The Sadong Risang Electric Appliances Factory in Sadong District, Pyongyang, is one of them.
One day in mid-January an unusual consultative meeting took place at the factory.
The discussion was not related to production but to the support of Songnyu Primary School in the district.
At the meeting, Choe Myong Jin, manager of the factory, called for helping the school in its educational work with the feeling of being parents of its students, saying that nothing should be spared for the work for the rising generation.
Afterwards, the factory secured funds needed for improving the school’s educational conditions and environment and all its employees including the manager himself turned out to solve the problems arising in the school’s work.
They obtained several LED TV sets, monitoring cameras, thousands of palettes, materials for repairing buildings, etc, which they sent to the school.
This was not all.
They also provided the school with tens of square metres of heat-insulating pads, hundreds of kilogrammes of coating materials, several kinds of musical instruments and school furniture.
Thanks to the sincere efforts of the officials and employees of the factory who devote themselves with warm parental affection, the educational conditions and environment of the school are changing day by day.
