Day of Persons with Disability marked

A meeting was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on the 18th to mark the Day of Persons with Disability.

Present at the meeting were Jon Chol Hi, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials and employees of units concerned, persons with disability and their families.

Speakers said the disabled are fully developing their hopes and talents in all fields of social life under the loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea, enjoying the state benefits according to the socialist policy.

Certificates were conferred on those who are rendering good support to the disabled and successes in the work of the disabled were introduced.

The participants in the meeting watched a video program showing how the work to protect the disabled has been done in recent years and looked round the exhibits presented by the disabled.

On the other hand, a performance was given by art circle members of the Korean Art Association of the Disabled at the Chongjin Theatre to commemorate the Day of Persons with Disability.
