The Fourth Meeting of the 25th Central Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) was held at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on the 11th.
It was attended by Chairman of the Central Standing Committee Ho Jong Man and other officials of Chongryon and the Director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan.
The national anthem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea was played and a report made by Pak Ku Ho, First Vice-Chairman and Director ofthe Organization Department of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon.
The reporter stressed the need to set the coming decade till the 80th founding anniversary of Chongryon as a new struggle period and further develop it into a body that puts our compatriots first and serves them faithfully, true to the letter "Let Us Write a New Great Chapter in the History of the Movement of Koreans in Japan by Carrying Forward the Patriotic Spirit of the Founder Generation" sent by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un to the officials of Chongryon and other Korean compatriots in Japan on the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary.
He ardently called on all to devote all their energies to fulfilling their patriotic duties and thus proudly conclude the work of the 25th Central Committee of Chongryon and decorate its 26th Congress to be held next year as a milestone of writing a new history of the movement of Koreans in Japan.
