Regional-industry factories built in 20 cities and counties as the first entities of the regional rejuvenation are boosting the production of consumer goods.

The regional-industry factories in Songchon County, South Phyongan Province are striving to produce various kinds of quality goods that can represent their locality and substantially contribute to the promotion of the wellbeing of the local people.

The foodstuff, daily necessities and garment factories in the county are turning out different kinds of bread, fruit juice, laundry soap, wooden products and clothes by supplementing new moulds essential for developing new products and improving their quality and by raising the practical qualifications of the technicians and skilled workers.

Those in North Phyongan Province’s Unsan County churn out products that retain the taste peculiar to the mountainous region.

The county foodstuff factory is increasing the variety of pine nut-based products such as candy, biscuit and sponge cake by taking the advantage of the natural and geographical conditions of the county with dense pine-nut forests, and is producing beverage made of soya beans, which is in high demand among the locals.

And the county daily necessities factory is further improving the quality of the laundry soap which was highly appreciated at the show of products of regional-industry factories newly built in 20 cities and counties held in Pyongyang this year, and manufacturing plastic pipes of different sizes that could be used for housing construction and water service projects in rural areas.

Meanwhile, the Orang County Seafood-processing Factory in North Hamgyong Province is producing over 40 varieties of processed fish in four kinds. And the Ichon County Daily Necessities Factory in Kangwon Province is making functional laundry soap by using of the fruits of heartnut that grow well in the region.

The heartnut fruit is rich in elements that are good for skin protection. So the factory is propelling the work to produce laundry soap, liquid soap, detergent and shampoo with oil extracted from the heartnut fruits and increasing the variety of plastic products.

The regional-industry factories in Onchon County of Nampho Municipality, Jaeryong County of South Hwanghae Province, Hamju County of South Hamgyong Province, Kim Hyong Jik County of Ryanggang Province, Tongsin County of Jagang Province and other regions produce tasty and nutritious foodstuffs, quality plastic goods and stylish clothes under a strict system of quality inspection.
