A poem reciting and singing of agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) “Victory Will Be Won Generation after Generation” was held at the Jangchon Hall of Culture in Sadong District, Pyongyang, on July 24 to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Present there were Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, officials and members of the union and agricultural workers in Pyongyang.
The performers highly praised President Kim Il Sung for performing immortal feats by bringing about victory in the war with his outstanding strategy and tactics and wise leadership and the defenders of the country in the 1950s for displaying heroic spirit.
Narrative poem “For the defence of the country” and song “Advance and advance” impressively showed the staunch spirit of death-defyingly defending the leader and the the country displayed by the soldiers of the Korean People's Army who devoted their youth and lives without hesitation to defending the one and only country.
Female solo “Victory Mill on Jiktong Pass” made the audience recollect the spiritual world of the wartime patriotic farmers who ploughed and seeded the fields in the face of the gunfire with the faith that they were sure to win victory as they were led by Kim Il Sung .
Some numbers reflected the will of the agricultural workers to uphold and glorify their country with increased grain production by inheriting the fighting spirit of the preceding generations.
The event that demonstrated the revolutionary enthusiasm of agricultural workers and members of the agricultural union ended with choral poems and choruses “We Are Koreans” and “Dear Father.”
