A fine art exhibition opened to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Displayed in the exhibition hall are fine art works showing the immortal patriotic exploits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation and firmly consolidated the eternal foundation for building a powerful country and the noble great personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is successfully making a new turning point in the overall development of socialism with his outstanding idea and great leadership.
Also on display are those showing the noble mental world of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who devoted all their youth and lives to the sacred war for national liberation with the indomitable revolutionary faith and ardent patriotism, the history of heroic struggle of the Korean people who have glorified the decades of the revolution with proud victories under the leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea and the proud reality of the country which is changing day by day in the new era of overall rejuvenation.
Exhibited there are works and posters of diverse themes showing the struggle of the Korean people who are vigorously opening up a new phase of national prosperity while thoroughly implementing the decisions adopted at the historic Eighth Party Congress and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.
An opening ceremony was held at the Korea National Art Museum on the 13th.
Present at the ceremony were Ju Chang Il, Department Director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Ri Myong Chol, Secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, officials and creators in the field of fine arts, and working people in Pyongyang.
Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu made an opening address.
At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition hall.
