A meeting was held at the North Phyongan Provincial Art Theatre on the 27th to mark the 50th anniversary of the formation of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade.
Present at the meeting were Ri Hi Yong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Jong Sun, Department Director of the Party Central Committee, Mun Chol, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade Management Bureau, commanding officers, shock-brigaders and meritorious persons.
Ri Hi Yong conveyed a congratulatory message sent by the Central Committee of the WPK to the members and commanding officers of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade.
The message stressed that the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade formed and named by the great leader Kim Jong Il has performed priceless feats of playing an active part in the van of the great socialist upsurge and training successors of the new generation who will support the cause of the Party in the annals of the revolution, true to the honour and mission as a regular unit of young builders.
Jo Hyon Chol, Director of the High-Speed Youth Shock Brigade Management Bureau, made a report, which was followed by speeches.
