The reliable young vanguard of the DPRK significantly marked Youth Day amid the blessings of all the people throughout the country.
Senior officials of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the government, including Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly, and Ri Hi Yong, Jo Chun Ryong, Kim Tok Hun and Choe Tong Myong, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, visited the Sangwon Cement Complex, Chollima Steel Complex, other industrial establishments, grand construction sites, universities and other places on August 28 to congratulate young people on their holiday.
At the construction sites of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm and the fourth-stage 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area of Pyongyang, senior Party and government officials gave pep-talks to young builders who are performing feats at the grand construction sites through a persevering and steady struggle.
They called on all the young builders to leave an indelible imprint for national prosperity and the people’s happiness.
Those who visited industrial establishments, scientific research institutions and universities met with young innovators, scientists and exemplary students to congratulate them.
After hearing about the laudable virtuous deeds and traits of young men and women, the senior officials called on all the young people to make a substantial contribution to adding glory to the new era of the Juche revolution.
They, together with young people, saw artistic performances, played sports and amusement games and took part in various other cultural events.
