Flowers were placed at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on the 9th on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
Guards of honour of the Korean People's Army were standing at the cemeteries.
Present on the occasion were Pak Thae Song, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK; Choe Ryong Hae, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and First Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK; and other senior officials of the Party, the government and the military, officials of the Party Central Committee and officials of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, the Cabinet and armed forces organs.
The visitors observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs.
Then they looked round the cemeteries.
They laid flowers before the busts and gravestones of martyrs and paid noble respects to them.
