A national sci-tech presentation in the field of metallic materials took place on the 16th and the 17th under the sponsorship of the Korean Society of Metallic Materials under the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The presentation held under the theme of "Qualitative Improvement of Metallic Materials" was aimed at sharing, widely disseminating and generalizing the successes achieved in boosting the production of different kinds of alloy steel and steel materials and improving the quality of metallic materials.
Present there were teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of different units including the Ferrous Metal Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Chaek University of Technology and the Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering.
Introduced at the presentation were experiences as well as more than 80 valuable papers completed in the course of active scientific researches for perfecting the iron-making method of Korean style and satisfying the need for iron and steel.
