The Korean Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries and the Korea-China Friendship Society gave a reception at the Okryu Restaurant on September 30 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
Invited to the reception were Wang Yajun, Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and staff members of his embassy and Chinese guests staying here.
Present there were President of Kim Il Sung University Kim Sung Chan, Chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Parliamentary Group of the Supreme People's Assembly, and officials concerned.
Speeches were made at the reception.
Speakers mentioned the historic significance of the founding of the People's Republic of China and said the Chinese people have made great achievements in the struggle for defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and realizing the Chinese nation's dream of prosperity under the leadership of the Communist Party of China over the past 76 years.
They expressed their stands to make active efforts to develop the relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and China in accordance with the noble intention of the supreme leaders of the two parties and the two countries in the future, too.
