Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang General Hospital was successfully completed as a symbol of socialist public health, splendidly adorning the first year of the historic healthcare revolution, amid the structures of all-round cultural efflorescence embodying the people-first political ideal of the Workers' Party of Korea, the genuine people's Party, being erected like bamboo shoots after rain.

Thanks to the great painstaking efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to give fuller play to the advantages of Korean-style socialism and provide the people with more civilized and happy living conditions through radical, fresh and qualitative changes in the sector of public heath, the Pyongyang General Hospital is greeting its inaugural day on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of WPK. This is a noteworthy event in which another long-cherished desire of the great Party Central Committee was achieved.

The inaugural ceremony of the Pyongyang General Hospital was held with splendor on Oct. 6.

The venue of the ceremony was filled with great excitement and joy of the participants who are greeting the great auspicious event, which would shine forever in the history of the country, in the presence of the dear father of the great socialist family who is taking care of the destiny and future of the people across the country.

Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, arrived at the venue of the inaugural ceremony.

At that moment, the stormy cheers of "hurrah!" reverberated through the sky of October.

Overcome by boundless emotion, all the participants paid the highest glory and tribute to Kim Jong Un , who is making ceaseless devotion to the rights and interests of the people, their long life in good health and beautiful and vibrant life.

Present at the ceremony were members of the central leadership body of the Party including leading officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, participants in the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK, officers and men of a construction unit and builders, officials of ministries and national agencies, medical workers of the Pyongyang General Hospital and Pyongyang Municipality and citizens of Pyongyang.

Kim Jong Un made a meaningful speech in commemoration of the inauguration.

He expressed his deep emotion of presenting the Pyongyang General Hospital, the first fruition the Party has achieved in carrying out the healthcare revolution, to the people on the founding anniversary of the Party and thus discharging its sacred duty to render absolute service to the people. He extended special thanks to the commanding officers and soldiers of the Guards Unit and all the builders and officials of a designing organ who upheld the Party's policy and decision on the development of public health with devoted labor and sincerity and congratulated the officials, doctors, nurses and staff members who are to work at the excellent hospital.

He clarified the essence of the strategy for modernizing public health which our Party has planned and strongly carried on and the importance of the position and role of the Pyongyang General Hospital in a new revolution aimed at regeneration and leap forward in the public health sector. Then he indicated the future orientation and the tasks for radically improving the public health of the country in a comprehensive way in the near future by dynamically pushing ahead with the building of public health.

Hoping that the hospital would enjoy eternal praise as a home of instilling vigor of life and inexhaustible vitality into people and a palace of protecting the people's health and laughter, he firmly affirmed that he would serve the people more faithfully.

When Kim Jong Un finished his speech, all the participants broke into enthusiastic cheers, reflecting their boundless reverence for and gratitude to the tender-hearted father who is putting his ardent soul into bringing earlier the future of the country which will prosper along with all blessings of socialism being enjoyed by the working people to their heart's content.
