On October 17, 2022, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers’ Party of Korea and gave a commemorative lecture, setting forth the orientation of the Party building in the new era.
The five-point orientation of the Party building in the new era is to make the WPK politically mature, organizationally firm, ideologically pure, strictly disciplined and healthy in work style.
The Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth WPK Central Committee held at the end of that year officially adopted the five-point Party-building orientation as a line of the Party.
Later, the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK was newly built as an entity firmly guaranteeing the five-point line on the Party building in the new era. It would serve as the “pedigree” farm, in which the backbone elements, the successors to the Party, are trained, and as a research centre for supporting the Party ideologically and theoretically in its building and activities.
This means that the WPK has a stronghold of the succession to and victory of its original ideals and sacred cause.
The Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, as a prestigious revolutionary university training the backbone of the Party, opened on June 1, 2024 on the occasion of its 78th founding anniversary.
Delivering a significant speech at the opening ceremony, Kim Jong Un said that in the past years there have been many memorable grand festivals and remarkable events, but he thinks today’s experience of looking to the future of the Workers’ Party of Korea in this place would not be forgotten all his life.
“The new era of building the Workers’ Party of Korea, the golden age of strengthening the Party, is opening at this point today,” he noted.
On October 10, 2024, he made public “Officials Should Be Communist Revolutionaries for Whom the Party’s Original Ideals and Spirit Are Their Mental Attributes,” a work in which he set forth the tasks and ways for steadily strengthening the WPK by inheriting the spirit of the forerunners.
Thanks to this guidance, the WPK is now fully demonstrating its leadership ability in the struggle for the comprehensive development of socialism.
