It has been 80 years since the Workers’ Party of Korea, the organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people, was founded.

The WPK founded by President Kim Il Sung and strengthened and developed by Chairman Kim Jong Il has ushered in a new era of creation and transformation on this land by taking responsibility for the destiny of the country and people and the fate of socialism and leading the cause of socialism straight forward along the road of triumph with sure.

Today the WPK has greeted the most successful heyday since its founding.

The great Kim Jong Un ’s era is a glorious age, an era of prosperity, that occupies a special position in the 80-year history of the WPK.

The ongoing construction boom shows an upward trend year after year across the country, and strenuous efforts are channelled into the implementation of the programme for the rural revolution in the new era, making a new history of regional transformation and raising the people’s trust in and reverence for the Party day by day.

True to the Party’s determination to make a leap forward by dint of science and guarantee the future by dint of education, a remarkable change has taken place in the cultural field as well, giving a strong impetus to the progress of socialism, and news of great achievements and auspicious events that bring new civilization, new life and new happiness to the people have been heard one after another.

This era also witnessed a record high in the imperialists’ attempts to isolate and stifle Korean-style socialism by imposing barbarous sanctions and blockade on the DPRK and a wave of unpredictable challenges caused by the ever-worsening global health crisis and disastrous extreme weather patterns.

However, the revolutionary ideology and leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, served as an absolute factor that enabled the Party to maintain and cement the lifeline of the succession to the cause of Juche most purely and like steel and bring about great innovations and successes in all the fields.

In every period and stage of the developing revolution, he clarified the true path to victory and far-reaching strategies and led the cause of Korean socialism to constantly advance without a moment’s stagnation or let-up towards the implementation of the cause of building a prosperous nation with a strong army.

The cause of building socialism on this land is making constant progress as the WPK is ushering in a new era of great change with its dynamic and outstanding leadership.
