A grand ceremony was held in June in the picturesque Kalma peninsula on the east coast of Korea to inaugurate the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area.
The construction of the Korean-style coastal tourist town on Myongsasimni, a beach famous for its unusual scenery, is unthinkable apart from the energetic guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who worked heart and soul to provide the people with the most civilized recreation ground in the world.
One day in April 2019, he visited the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area under construction.
He said with satisfaction to the accompanying officials: The buildings in the area look far nicer than before. They have got better in terms of formative and artistic beauty, and they look more magnificent as they become larger. We should retain our own flavour. The way the streets are formed in this area is completely our own style, not any others’.
This was not the first time he stressed the need to create everything in our own way.
In May, August and October 2018, when he visited the construction site of the resort, he earnestly asked: In order to build the area into a wonderful Korean-style coastal tourist area without parallel in the world, we need to do both designing and construction in a qualitative way. The resort will become gorgeous when high-rise buildings are well arranged along the beach while preserving the characteristics of the coastal area. Whatever we build, we should build it in our socialist style, and we should blaze our own path to development in our own way and in our own style, not copying others.
Now the Korean people are enjoying themselves to their heart’s content in the resort built under such meticulous guidance and concern.
