Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Students in Kursk City of Russia made many paper lanterns and sent them here as a token of the gratitude to and the reverence for the soldiers of the Korean People's Army who displayed unparalleled bravery, heroism and self-sacrificing spirit in the battle to liberate Kursk, their native home. There took place a ceremony of floating those paper lanterns on the River Taedong in the capital city of Pyongyang on October 21.
Students of the Russian embassy school floated the paper lanterns on the River Taedong, praying for the immortality of the heroes involved in the battle with the precious memories of them. Written on the paper lanterns were the letters reading "Thank you", "We Will Win" and "Eternal Friendship" in Korean and Russian languages.
Present at the ceremony were Aleksandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members. -0-
