Pyongyang, April 15 (KCNA) -- A joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union organizations took place before the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace on April 14 to celebrate the 114th birth anniversary of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung .
Attending it were students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Chilgol Revolutionary School, representatives of the KCU organizations in all provinces, schoolchildren in Pyongyang and pupils to be admitted to the KCU.
Present there on invitation were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league, persons of merit and labor innovators in Pyongyang.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report.
The reporter referred to the fact that the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung , who created the proud tradition of the Korean children's movement in the flames of the anti-Japanese struggle, founded the KCU after the liberation of the country and indicated the road to be followed by it and led the schoolchildren to grow up to be reliable pillars who would shoulder the future of the country.
The history of the noble loving care of the great Generalissimo for the rising generations invariably continues on this land under the guidance of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un , he stressed.
He called upon all the schoolchildren to prepare themselves to be true young revolutionaries and patriots supporting socialist Korea, always bearing in mind that the DPRK is strong and the beautiful hope and bright future of the new generations are guaranteed as it is led by the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un .
An admission ceremony of the KCU took place at the meeting.
Led by Ju Chang Il, the pupils joining the KCU took an admission oath.
The pupils, who joined the KCU, made the first greetings of the KCU, responding to the slogan "Let us be always ready for socialist country!"
Then, congratulatory speeches were made by Im Song Jin, a section chief of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Un Hui, a worker of the Rungna People's Pleasure Park Management Office, and Hong Jin Gyong, a player of the South Hwanghae Provincial Taekwon-Do Players Team.
Congratulating the pupils who admitted to the KCU on the occasion of the significant Day of the Sun, the speakers asked them to prepare themselves to be pillars shouldering the future of the country, always bearing in mind the pledge made before the flag of the KCU. -0-
