80th anniversary of establishment of the Korean central broadcasting service marked

A meeting was held at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre on the 22nd to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean central broadcasting service.
Present there were officials and employees of the Radio-Television Broadcasting Committee of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, meritorious former officials of the committee and officials of relevant units.
Kim Ki Ryong, Chairman of the Radio-Television Broadcasting Committee of the DPRK, made a commemorative report.
He said that commemorating significantly the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Korean central broadcasting service, all the staff members of the committee look back with deep emotion upon the immortal leadership exploits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the proud journey of Juche broadcasting.
Under the wise leadership of the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea, the Korean central broadcasting service has been strengthened and developed into a core press organ powerfully representing the voice of the WPK and the government of the DPRK all over the world, into a powerful propaganda means reporting important political functions and special events of the country in a mobile and comprehensive way and into a pivotal organ controlling and commanding the broadcasting institutions of the country in a unified way, he noted.
He called on all the officials and employees to more powerfully demonstrate the might of Juche broadcasting in the struggle for the overall development of socialism of Korean style by supporting the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Un wholeheartedly with loyalty.
