Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday in an article says that today the Workers' Party of Korea is demonstrating its might before the world as the most dignified and veteran Party which has written the longest history in the world as the socialist ruling party in its course.

The 80-year-long journey of the WPK is shining while holding a clear position in the human history of political parties. This is not because of the long-history of the socialist ruling party, the article says, and goes on:

The history of the WPK is the history for the people and the history it has relied on their strength. Herein lies the secret that the WPK could record only victories, its dignity and prestige be put on the platform of the century, its lifeline be carried forward forever and its future be rosy.

A revolutionary party responsible for the destiny of the people should have the correct lines and policies that illuminate the road ahead of it and have the motive force to powerfully push ahead with all the revolutionary projects while overcoming all challenges and difficulties in order to lead the popular masses' cause of independence and the cause of socialism to victory.

The road to socialism is an untrodden one and the driving force of the socialist cause is the masses of the people with inexhaustible resourcefulness, wisdom and strength.

Only the party, which thoroughly and perfectly carries out the tasks set forth by it by dint of the strength of the people, finding out the good methods of overcoming difficulties and performing miracles in their simple voices, can accelerate the advance toward their ideal society and successfully accomplish the revolutionary cause pioneered by the forerunners, while recording only victories in its course.

The WPK, which reflected in its red flag the idea and will to build a genuine new society of the people since the first day of its founding, has brought about many eye-opening changes racing against times on this land and significant events to be specially recorded in the history of the country, finding itself among the people and relying on them for decades.

The WPK has created a history of epochal changes by taking the untrodden snow-covered road of the prosperity by self-reliance and self-sustenance in order to carry out the transformative tasks under the situation in which outside forces' constant and persistent pressure, interference and threat of aggression are escalating historically and realistically and only defending the social system can be said a miracle. To do so with the ordinary sense is impossible. The infinite might of turning impossibility into a possibility is the will and strength of the people.

Invincible is the cause of the Party advancing together with the people who indicate the truth anytime, give the courage of irresistible strength and push forward the future. -0-
