Korean people have long cultivated the tasty and highly nutritious laver.
Laver of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is well-known to the world.
One day in July 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Taesong Laver Processing Factory (the then Pyongyang Taegyong Laver Processing Factory).
He was pleased to see the factory process in various ways laver, a health food favored by the people.
He said that since the people's demand for laver is very high, the factory should concentrate efforts on increasing the variety and output of processed laver, and continued:
The factory is now producing only a few kinds of processed goods by adding seasonings to or roasting the pressed laver. It should produce various kinds of unique processed goods such as powdered, flavoured and hard-boiled laver.
Afterwards, Kim Jong Un sent the factory a lot of technical data related to laver processing.
Studying those data, the officials and employees of the factory established a new laver processing method of Korean style.
The products of the Pyongyang Taesong Laver Processing Factory are further enriching the people's diet.
