The European regional seminar on the Juche idea "Independence, Peace and Social Development" was recently held in Helsinki of Finland on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea.
Present at the seminar directly or through video conferencing were the director general, secretary general and directors of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, personages of Juche idea study organizations in Europe including Russia, Denmark, Germany, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Slovakia, Austria, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Czech Republic, Finland and Poland and the secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea.
Director General of the Society Matteo Carbonelli made an opening address.
He said that the Korean people have covered the long journey with proud successes under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea and that the recent seminar was of greater significance in having a deep understanding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea advancing under the banner of the Juche idea.
He noted that the interest in the Juche idea is growing with each passing day in different regions of the world including Europe and Juche idea study organizations are formed and actively run in many countries. He dwelt upon the successes made since the founding of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and stressed that the society should study and disseminate the Juche idea more actively in the future, too, as in the past.
A congratulatory message sent by the Korean Association of Social Scientists was read out at the seminar.
Speeches were made.
The seminar adopted a message of greetings to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
