Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- The International Symposium of Kim Chaek University of Technology-2025 took place on Nov. 11 and 12.
More than 120 sci-tech papers of great academic value and practical significance were presented to the symposium held under the theme of "Science and Technology-Driving Force of Development, Strategic Resources".
An opening ceremony of the symposium was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on Nov. 11.
Present there were officials concerned, officials, teachers and researchers of Kim Chaek University of Technology and representatives of universities and scientific research institutions of Russia, China and other countries.
Pak Ji Min, president of Kim Chaek University of Technology, made an opening address.
Expressing belief that the symposium would mark an occasion in further strengthening the academic ties between Kim Chaek University of Technology and educational and scientific research institutions of different countries, he declared the symposium open.
Ri Chang Sik, vice-minister of Education, said in his congratulatory speech that Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and other universities are making proud successes which propel the country's economic development and the improvement of the people's living standard.
Danis Nurgaliev, vice-president of Kazan Federal University of Russia, said in a congratulatory speech that the academic contact through symposium would make a positive contribution to exchanging ideas with each other and strengthening unity among the peoples of different countries aspiring after progress and wellbeing.
Then the international symposium was held at the e-library of Kim Chaek University of Technology, divided into panels of earth and environmental sciences, metal and materials engineering, mechanical and energy engineering, automation and IT, basic science and chemical engineering and bioengineering.
Speakers explained the academic achievements made in their scientific researches in such papers as "Effective non-vibration technique for exploring oil and gas resources", "Effect of laser output power and scanning speed on the characteristics of laser-induced graphen" and "Method for improving the accuracy of positioning based on the model of received signal strength in wireless sensor network".
The symposium closed on Nov. 12.
During the symposium, Kim Chaek University of Technology hosted a reception for the participants in the international symposium. -0-
