2025 is a significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Korean people celebrated the anniversary with splendour in October 2025.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Party Founding Museum and made a speech on the occasion of the day.

His visit to the birthplace of the WPK served as an occasion for proudly looking back upon the decades of Party founding and inheritance and renewing the understanding and awareness of the revolutionary obligations and duties of our generation to accomplish without fail the socialist cause that was launched and advanced by the forerunners.

Lecturer Han Yong Ok at the Party Founding Museum said she could not forget the glorious day, and went on:

"That day, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un stressed in his speech that we should not suspend our struggle but continue to wage the revolution until we achieve the complete victory of socialism, successfully realize the ideals of our people and attain the ultimate goal of our revolution."

On the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK, there took place the splendid military hardware exhibition "Defence Development--2025", the relay race for carrying letters of loyalty to Kim Jong Un and the meeting for presenting the letters and the international Juche idea seminar on the immortal banner for building a just and peaceful world in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Party culminated in the grand mass gymnastics and artistic performance "Long Live the Workers' Party of Korea", military parade, public procession and torchlight gala, which were run through with the boundless reverence of the Korean people for Kim Jong Un.

Workshop Head Kim Sun Bok at the Ryongbuk Foodstuff Factory participated in the celebrations as a delegate. She said:

"At the meeting to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un offered thanks once again to our great people who have always injected strength and wisdom into our Party and devoted pure mind and diligent efforts with belief in victory as well as the Party.

We ought to thank him first, as he always thinks of the people, adopts the policies for their interests and well-being and devotes himself to them. We were really overwhelmed with gratitude.

I made a firm resolve to remain loyal to Kim Jong Un all my life, fully convinced once again that our country will be powerful and all of us well-off as long as we are led by him."

Kim Jong Un met the heads of party and state of different countries and appeared on the platforms of the celebrations with them, focussing the world's attention.

Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the CentralCommittee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President ofthe Lao People's Democratic Republic, To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, the party and government delegation of the People's Republic of China, the delegation of the United Russia Party and many other party and government delegations visited the DPRK and celebrated the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

Foreigners and world media said only the WPK in the world has stayed in power for 80 years and referred to the bright prospect of the WPK advancing under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

The Korean people could grandly celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK thanks to his wise leadership.

On several occasions, Kim Jong Un instructed on making good preparations to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Party as a grand political festival making a watershed in proudly reviewing the longest history of the socialist ruling party and opening a new era of strengthening the Party and building the state.

And he made painstaking efforts to hold the celebrations on the highest level.

At the 13th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK, Kim Jong Un said that the celebrations of the 80th founding anniversary of the Party held this year showed to the world the absolute dignity and irresistible might of our Party, state and people and redoubled the strong will of all the people to build a socialist society with their wisdom and efforts and in their own way.

Indeed, 2025 is shining as a year that demonstrated at home and abroad once again the absolute prestige and outstanding leadership ability of Kim Jong Un, who is leading the WPK to be an ever-victorious party with seasoned guidance, and the mightiness, level of civilization and dignified international position of our state.
