Young people across the DPRK were gripped by great emotion on the occasion of the New Year 2026.

They were impressed by the fact that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm to make a congratulatory speech in which he said that he had rushed there right after the national events in Pyongyang were over to start the year 2026 together with the young vanguard members and soldier-builders greeting the New Year in the northwestern tip of the country far away from their families and beloved homes and that they had really done a great thing.

His speech greatly encouraged not only the young builders of the farm but also all other young people across the country and many young people volunteered to work at major units for socialist construction.

His love and trust has motivated young people to glorify their life as performers of feats and heroes of the times in socialist construction.

When young people volunteered to take part in the rehabilitation projects in Sinuiju City and Uiju County of North Phyongan Province two years ago, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, before seeing them off, encouraged them, saying that such explosive volunteering enthusiasm can never be found in any other countries and such deeds of theirs originate from their strong faith to share their destiny with socialism forever and are a manifestation of their beautiful outlook on life, with which they find the honour and worth of their life in their ardent love for the country and dedication to the Workers’ Party of Korea and the revolution, earnestly requesting that the young volunteers should return home in good health with the pride of having performed great feats and fervently appealing to them to advance toward victory, demonstrating the dignity, mettle and courage of the honourable Korean youth.

Cherishing his trust, the young volunteers turned the disaster-stricken area into an ideal farm town in the new era in a short time.

In retrospect, the Korean young people have always basked in his great trust and love.

He sent to young people a message of trust reading, “The prosperous future will be accelerated thanks to the dynamic effort of young people.” And he sent a congratulatory message to all the youth across the country on the occasion of Youth Day and arranged grand meetings of young people which served as milestones in developing the youth movement onto a new high stage. He also renamed the youth league by adding the adjective patriotic to its name to encourage it to fully display its might.

Young people across the country have turned out in the drive to greet the historic Ninth Congress of the WPK with proud successes.

The looks of the dependable young people, who regard patriotism and youth as equals, inject immense strength into the ranks of the general onward march to open up a broad avenue for overall national prosperity.
