A large number of Korean people work devotedly for their country with a clear conscience whether they are acknowledged or not.
They are different in job, position and career, but they have one thing in common―the ennobling outlook on life which reflects their determination to make a contribution to society and the collective with ardent patriotism and infinite devotion.
Choe Yong Son is a worker at the Koksan County road facility management station in North Hwanghae Province. More than two decades ago she moved to the county with her husband, a discharged army officer. Since then she has put her heart and soul into the road repair and maintenance.
Many other people have been throwing themselves into the road to the country’s prosperity. Kim Su Gwan, a researcher in his sixties at Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, developed a new technical approach and Paek Un Song, a staff at the North Hwanghae provincial intelligent products manufactory, invented and introduced an active electric boiler.
Pak Myong Ae has been working as a keeper of the wild beast cage at the Central Zoo, a job others are reluctant to take up, for scores of years since her girlhood. She has so far contributed to breeding more than 180 animals of four species including tiger and lion. She finds great pride in seeing visitors pleased to see the Korean tigers raised by her.
Ju Chang Rim, a tunnelling worker at the Youth Mining District of the Unnyul Mine, has been working devotedly for decades, following in the footsteps of his parents.
Thanks to such patriotic workers supporting the country with their tireless and sincere efforts, the comprehensive development of socialism is gaining steady momentum.
