Over the past five years, the policies of the Workers’ Party of Korea for rising generation were thoroughly implemented in any conditions, good or bad.
Since the Party set forth a new childcare policy, every province, city and county has conducted various projects to increase milk production and complete production facilities of dairy foods. Under a well-knit system and order of dairy products supply all pre-school children across the country are provided with dairy products every day.
Body measurement guideline for school uniform production was made and, on the basis of it, all students were provided with well-fitting uniforms. Every province built factories for students’ uniforms, bags and shoes with the result that a solid foundation was laid for supplying first-year students with school uniforms, bags and shoes every year.
Besides, all the children and students in baby homes, orphanages and primary and middle schools for orphans across the country are provided with fish, meat, eggs and confectionery. The amount and variety of the supplies are fairly large.
When some regions of the country including North Phyongan Province were hit by a natural disaster in July 2024, a measure was taken to bring thousands of children and students in the flood-stricken areas to the capital city of Pyongyang for their upbringing and education. According to the measure, temporary classrooms equipped with all necessary fixtures were set up at the April 25 Hostel, and the students were given a full set of school uniforms and school things. A temporary mobile educational team consisting of excellent teachers in Pyongyang was formed.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the hostel one August day in 2024 to oversee a demonstration lesson for primary-course students and see students in new school uniforms.
That day he said that the children’s laughter is the dynamic breath and vibrant spirit of the advancing country and a symbol of the mightiness of the Korean-style socialism.
