Pyongyang, February 4 (KCNA) — Schoolchildren in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK met with a war veteran at the provincial art theatre on Monday.
Present there were officials of the youth league and schoolchildren in the province.
When Kim Myong Ho, a war veteran, entered the venue of the meeting, schoolchildren warmly welcomed him, presenting bouquets.
At the meeting, the war veteran congratulated the graduating class students of senior middle schools in the province upon deciding to take the first step in their lives at the sacred post of national defence after finishing their school days.
He proudly referred to the days when the soldiers created the legendary tales about victory in the war by smashing the invasion of the imperialist allied forces under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, an ever-victorious iron-willed commander.
He handed over the national flag of the DPRK to schoolchildren in the name of the veteran generation, asking them to firmly carry forward the victorious history of heroic Korea true to the leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Students took the floor to express their will to carry forward the baton of victory handed over by the victorious wartime generation and perform proud military feats on the road of national defence.
At the end of the meeting, a congratulatory performance was given by members of the schoolchildren’s artistic information team.
