Workers and trade unionists held a meeting at the Central Hall of Workers on the 11th to celebrate the 84th birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Jong Il.
Present at the meeting were officials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea and other trade union officials, workers and trade unionists in Pyongyang.
A report was made by Choe Jong Chol, Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, which was followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers said the life of Kim Jong Il was the noblest life of a peerless patriot who performed immortal exploits for the country and people, the times and revolution with his iron will and superhuman energy under the uplifted red flag of the revolution.
They stressed that today the noble patriotic desire of Kim Jong Il for building a powerful country, who laid an eternal foundation for the bright future of the socialist motherland with ardent love for the country and people, is coming true on this land thanks to the outstanding leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
