Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) — Women’s union officials and members in the DPRK met at the Hall of Women here on February 13 to celebrate the 84th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Attending it were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, women’s union officials and members in Pyongyang.
Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the C.C., Socialist Women’s Union of Korea, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers said that with his rare wisdom and through his energetic ideo-theoretical activities, Chairman Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and gave perfect answers to the theoretical and practical problems arising in successfully advancing the socialist cause of Juche.
They praised the Chairman as a peerless patriot who firmly defended the destiny of the country and the people and laid a solid foundation for building a powerful country by leading the struggle for defending socialism.
They noted that the Chairman energetically guided the women’s union to fulfill its mission and role in socialist construction.
Led by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, the women’s union has steadily developed into a powerful political organization in accomplishing the socialist cause of Juche, they added.
They expressed their determination to add eternal glory to the undying revolutionary career and exploits of the Chairman and give full play to the Korean women’s morale and patriotic devotion in implementing the grandiose programme to be set forth at the Ninth WPK Congress by single-mindedly and devotedly upholding the leadership of the General Secretary.
