The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea issued on February 5 Decree No. 2103 on awarding official commendations to 5,565 persons who performed labour feats in the construction of the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm.
The decree noted that the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm wonderfully built on the shore of the Amnok River at the northwestern end of the country is a symbol of the worthwhile struggle and feats of heroic youth in the great era of Kim Jong Un and a monument to the proud struggle to shine forever in the sacred history of the Korean youth movement.
Soldier-builders and youth vanguard etched heroic biography of transformation on a barren land with their fiery passion, warm sincerity and indomitable valour and stamina and offered the immortal dignity and glory to the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, the decree said and pointed out that the title of Labour Hero of the DPRK, Gold Medal (Hammer and Sickle) and Order of the National Flag 1st Class, Order of Kim Il Sung, Order of Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize, Kim Jong Il Youth Honour Prize, decorations and medals shall be awarded to the soldier-builders, youth shock-brigaders, commanding officers of the People's Army and officials who performed brilliant labour feats.
