Army-people joint meetings for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea were held respectively in North Phyongan, South Hwanghae, Kangwon and North Hamgyong provinces and the cities of Nampho and Kaesong on the 4th and the 5th.
Speeches were made at the meetings attended by officials of institutions and industrial establishments, working people, service personnel of the People's Army and youth and students.
The speakers said the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un clarified prospective plans and action programmes for strengthening the might of our state as a whole at the historic Ninth Party Congress and ardently called upon all to wage a vigorous struggle for a new victory by invariably upholding the ideal of "The people are the god", single-hearted unity and self-reliance peculiar to the Korean revolution and increasing the self-confidence, passion and fighting spirit for the future of the socialist cause.
Letters of pledge to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the meetings.
