Light industry factories in the capital city and the provinces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are constantly increasing the production of consumer goods, bringing about changes in the improvement of the people's living.
One day in July 2018, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Songdowon General Foodstuff Factory.
Looking round the production processes of the factory, he acquainted himself with its technical equipment and production and highly appreciated that various kinds of foodstuffs produced by the factory are in high demand and popular among the people.
That day, he asked officials of the factory about it compared with the provincial general foodstuff factories.
An official confidently replied that the factory is going to compete with foodstuff factories in the capital city. Listening to her, Kim Jong Un said that it's a good and due decision to compete with the foodstuff factories under the central authority, and continued:
It is most pleasing to hear that. There is no reason why the quality of products of the provincial-level foodstuff factories should be worse than that of products of the foodstuff factories under the central authority. The quality of foodstuffs to be put on the tables for the people should be the same whether they have been produced in the provinces or the capital city.
The instructions reflected his earnest request that the people should be provided with the best things whether they are made in the capital city or the provinces.
