Enlarged plenary meetings of Pyongyang municipal and all provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea were held to carry through the important tasks set forth in the historic policy speech the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made at the First Session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly.

Present there were members and alternate members of those committees. Officials of the Party and power organs and administrative and economic organs in those areas were on hand as observers.

The plenary meetings focused on discussing and deciding on practical ways for Party and power organs at all levels to fully discharge their mission and role in implementing the important tasks set forth in the historic policy speech.

They proposed draft decisions drawn up on the basis of the main idea and spirit of the policy speech and conducted a study and discussion on them. And they put together constructive opinions and rational proposals to achieve more remarkable successes in the work of regions and units and decided on their feasibility.

The plenary meetings advanced the ways for definitely turning the course of implementing the lines and policies of the Party and the state into that of carrying on the three revolutions and giving priority to the ideological revolution and putting spurs to the technological and cultural revolutions so as to more dynamically accelerate the work for transforming the regions in line with the demands of the three revolutions.

They stressed the need to pay close attention to strengthening dong and neighbourhood units, the bases for inhabitants' life, and ensure that the state policies for the upbringing of children and the education of the rising generation are correctly implemented.

At the plenary meetings, creative opinions were advanced to actively promote the technological updating and quality and quantity growth in production in the major sectors directly related to the economic development of regions and the people's livelihood and to further expand the construction work so as to give a facelift to the regions as befitting the position of our state, during the period of carrying out the new five-year plan.

The meetings called for the deputies to the people's assemblies at all levels to create an atmosphere of unity and struggle in the collective with the insight and personality befitting state political activists and always remain faithful to their honourable duty in the state affairs and the work for regional development and wellbeing of the people.

They adopted with unanimous approval the decisions fully reflecting the opinions helpful to organizing and doing the overall work from the state standpoint and from the viewpoint for the interests of the people and powerfully promoting the development of relevant regions.

Then, resolution-making speeches were made.
