According to the measures taken by the Workers’ Party of Korea, major farm machine production units have been modernized in recent years to lay a solid material and technical foundation for producing all kinds of farm machines in a serial way.
True to the Party’s intention to increase the proportion of the farm work done by machines by accelerating the revolution in the production of farm machines during the new long-term plan period, the major farm machine producers are making innovations in the production of farm machines and their parts.
The Kumsong Tractor Factory, which turned into a comprehensive one capable of producing efficient farm machines through the successful first- and second-stage modernization projects, is putting spurs to the production of all kinds of farm machines.
Officials of the factory are scrupulously organizing and commanding the production of farm machines with the viewpoint that quality takes precedence over number and is essential.
The factory is doing the production of materials and parts, the trial run of tractors with great horsepower and the assembly of cultivators simultaneously.
The Hamhung Tractor-drawn Farm Machine Factory is channelling efforts into the production of parts of rice-seedling transplanters while pushing the remodelling of tractors to increase their horsepower.
The Sariwon Tractor Parts Factory has made innovations in the production of parts every day this year, while the Haeju Farm Machine Factory, which has strived to improve the technical skills of its employees, is continuously increasing the production of small rice harvesters and rice-seedling transplanter parts.
Officials and employees of the Sinam Stockbreeding Machine Factory, whose production capacity has increased by seven times over the past, are directing their efforts to improving the quality and performance of stockbreeding machines of all kinds with the enthusiasm to contribute to developing the animal husbandry of the country.
The Kangso Sprayer Factory is dynamically pushing the production of sprayers and water vaporizers by making effective use of idle materials and focusing on the improvement of quality.
