South Hamgyong Province is laying a firm foundation for producing finishing building materials by itself.
The province is raising the production capacity of several finishing building materials producers such as the Songchongang Tile Factory to produce tiles, plastic window frames and paints and send them to cities and counties.
A metal fittings production base has been built at the Hamhung Ironware Factory and a water supply pipe production base at the Hamhung Chongryon Resin Finish Factory to lay a foundation for producing finishing building materials needed for the rural construction.
The province intensified guidance so that the cities and counties could put efforts into the work for building their own production bases and increasing the production indices.
Amid the exchange and sharing of experiences and techniques, Kumya, Jongphyong and Hamju counties increased the finishing building materials production by introducing advanced technologies.
Pukchong County raised the plastic pipe production capacity of the essential plastic goods factory 1.5 times. Tens of building materials producers were built or rebuilt on an expansion basis in the province.
