Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, received a reply message from To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on April 13.
The reply message said:
I am pleased and deeply moved to receive your congratulatory message full of warm congratulations and friendly feelings on the occasion of my election as president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the 16 th National Assembly.
My election as president of the SRV is not only my honor but also the great responsibility placed on me by the party, state and people of Vietnam with trust.
I express my deep respect for the warm feelings and close cooperation always shown by you, Comrade General Secretary and President of the State Affairs, to the state of Vietnam and the high-ranking leaders of Vietnam.
I, in the new position, will continue to work hard to make sure that the traditional relations of friendship between the two parties, two states and two peoples of Vietnam and the DPRK develop as ever in a solid and effective way, and continue to cooperate closely with you and the high-ranking cadres of the DPRK to achieve the development and prosperity of each country and bring substantial benefits to the peoples of our two countries.
I sincerely wish you good health and happiness and many successes in your noble position.
